Ampthill Town Learner Band 2026
As we know, learning to play a musical instrument is, for many children, a key to developing confidence, knowledge and skills that can provide lots of benefits throughout later life.
In this context, Ampthill Town Band is pleased to announce that it will begin a Learner Band in January 2026, sponsored by Ampthill Town Council. The purpose is to support brass musicianship amongst young players and help to recruit young players into Ampthill Town Band as an important part of the area’s cultural heritage.
The Ampthill Town Learner Band will be a welcoming and supportive ensemble designed to help musicians grow their confidence and skills in a fun group setting.
About the Learner Band:
- Open to all beginner and learner brass players
- Weekly early evening rehearsals in Ampthill with qualified experienced tutors
- Focus on ensemble playing, musical development, and enjoyment
- Opportunities to perform locally and build friendships through music
- Comprehensive risk assessment and safeguarding arrangements
- Instruments may be provided, subject to availability
Please get in touch with the Band by email at ampthilltownband@virginmedia.
We will hold an Open Session on Tuesday January 13th 2026 at 6pm in Ampthill (provisionally at the Baptist Church, 48, Dunstable Street, Ampthill, to be confirmed) that will be free for all to attend and will be an opportunity for to learn more and ask questions.
